TRAINEE TRAVEL AWARDS
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A TRAVEL AWARD, TRAINEE MUST MEET ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND SUPPLY THE RELEVANT INFORMATION BELOW:

To be eligible for consideration for a travel award you must be:
1) first author on an abstract accepted for presentation at HBM 2002,
and
2) registered for HBM 2002,
and
3) presently enrolled in a full-time "in-training" program in the field of Human Brain Mapping,
and
4) presently an OHBM dues paying member.
THREE CATEGORIES OF "IN-TRAINING" STATUS WILL BE RECOGNIZED.
Category A: A full-time student in a graduate program (M.S., Ph.D. or M.D. degree) relating to the field of Human Brain Mapping.
Category B: A full-time participant in a medical residency program in a field relating to human brain mapping (psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, or radiology).
Category C: A full-time post-doctoral fellow within two years of receiving the doctoral degree (Ph.D. degree), or within two years of completing residency training (M.D. degree).
Selection for stipends will be based both upon meeting the above criteria and upon the quality of your abstract.
The stipend amount is anticipated to be $500 USD per awardee, with up to 100 awards being made.
Stipends will be provided as reimbursements paid after the meeting, not before. Payment will be made only after meeting attendance and abstract submission by the applicant are confirmed. Persons selected for stipends will be notified in advance of the meeting,, as soon as the selection process is complete.

In addition, you must fax ((210)-567-8152) a letter on institutional letterhead signed by your training supervisor and your department chair confirming that you meet one of the above categories for "in-training" status.
