HOW TO GET TO SENDAI
Via Tokyo International Airport (Narita)
Via JR trains
We recommend that you buy a "JR pass" through your travel agent. This will allow you to use all limited express trains (including Shinkansen Express) on JR lines. Alternatively, you can obtain tickets for JR trains at the Green Counter of any JR stations. You will find a Green Counter at the underground level of the Tokyo International Airport.
Take the Narita Express from Tokyo International Airport to Tokyo Station. It takes approx. 60 min. You will reach the underground level. Then follow signs which will direct you towards the platforms for the Tohoku Shinkansen Express (N.B. Do not take the Tokaido Shinkansen Express).

ANA (All Nippon Airways) operates two flights between Narita International Airport and Sendai Airport from this Arpil. see Details
Via Kansai International Airport
There are daily four flights from Kansai International Airport to Sendai International Airport.
Another option is to take an airport bus from Kansai International Airport to Osaka International Airport (Itami), then find a flight to Sendai (nine flights daily).
Via Sendai International Airport
Sendai International Airport accepts direct international flights from Beijing, Dairen, Guam, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Seoul, and Shanghai. Please contact your travel agent for details.
Airport shuttle bus service runs between Sendai International Airport and Sendai Station (It takes 35 min).
NOTE: Since the FIFA World Cup 2002 is being hosted by Japan and Korea in 2002 (June 1st ~ 30th), it is advisable to book your flights at the earliest opportunity. HOME
