NB41A3 cell line in culture appears as mature neurons and secretes
acetylcholinesterase together with the enzymes for synthesis of the
neurotransmitters, choline acetylase and tyrosine hydroxylase. A culture
submitted to the Cell Resource Center for Biomedical Research was found to be
contaminated with mycoplasma. Progeny were cured by Treatments with BM Cycline
and MC210.
