Lymphoblast-like. |

RPMI-1640 + 10% FBS. |

Dilute 1/5 every 3-4 days. |
Characteristics |
The variant subline of KG-1 cell line. The variant KG-1a cell line was
separated from parent KG-1 on the basis of morphological difference after
35 passages. KG-1a is unresponsive to colony-stimulating factor in soft-agar
culture and does not express Ia-Ag. KG-1a cells are resistant to phorbol
diester macrophage differenciation and proliferation of the cells is unaffected
by the presence of phorbol diesters. This cell line is morphologically,
cytochemically, and functionally less mature than the parental KG-1. Human
AML cell line. A culture submitted to the Cell Resource Center for Biomedical
Research was found to be contaminated with mycoplasma. Progeny were cured
by Treatments with BM Cyclin and MC210. |
