Characteristics |
Human hepatic Ito (fat-storing) cell line established from a patient with
hepatic mesenchymal tumor. Alpha-actin filament positive. This cell line forms
typical hills-and-valleys structure in an overconfluent culture condition. Cells
produce collagens type I, III, IV, VI, laminin and fibronectin. In culture
medium containing vitamin A, this cell line forms many fat droplets in the
cytoplasm. |
