Comment from Prof. Kawashima
The restoration of Tohoku University from the last disaster is still in the begging process, and many buildings and research facilities are broken. The same is true for our Institute so that we are sure that it takes long time to return to the same research activities as previously. However, in our laboratory, we are so lucky that the damage is not too severe; therefore we could maintain levels of our research activity satisfactory even after the disaster. We feel it is our duty that we, who did not get severe damage, have to be more diligent, and produce more achievements than ever. I appreciate your continuous supports, and hope many young researchers and students will join our group.
